What is Karate?

Karate is a form of Martial Arts. Karate involves a variety of techniques, such as blocks, strikes, evasions, throws and joint manipulations. Karate practice is divided into three aspects. Kihon which is basics, Kata which is forms, and Kumite, which is sparring.

The value of Karate!

We often forget the value of exercise to both our physical and mental health. The practice of Karate tones the body, develops balance and coordination, quickens reflex and builds stamina. However, more so the serious practitioner Develops composure, clear thought process, deeper insight into ones mental capabilities and greater self-confidence. In this, the true good of karate is not simply the narrow dimension of combative techniques but rather development of ethical intent.
